Message from the Vice President
Welcome. The Division of Student Affairs provides high quality services that extend learning beyond the classroom. This division commits to creating a campus climate that includes all, supports diversity, promotes social justice, and fosters student success. The Office of the Vice President serves as a catalyst for improving campus life by leading the efforts of the division's departments.
Our vision statement reflects our belief in and concern for our students and the experiences they gain at UMBC.
We are thrilled with their academic achievement. We take pride in engaging them in the life of campus and surrounding communities to the extent that they leave UMBC prepared to assume meaningful roles in contributing to society and solving its problems.
We are also dedicated to working with parents to identify appropriate roles for furthering their child's education through various volunteer opportunities.
